USF names Dr. Angie Harrell as Associate Vice President for Healthcare Relations

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis announces the appointment of Dr. Angie Harrell as Associate Vice President for Healthcare Relations.

Dr. Harrell adds this role to her work as Dean of the College of Health Sciences. In her new role, she will be USF’s point person for conversations with healthcare systems and providers throughout Northeast Indiana.

“As USF expands and deepens its relationships with, and service to, the region’s healthcare industry, Dr. Harrell will centralize and coordinate our communications and cooperation with partners throughout Northeast Indiana,” said USF President Rev. Dr. Eric Albert Zimmer. “Dr. Harrell will fill this role expertly, given her extensive background and connections with the healthcare industry.”

Dr. Harrell has been a full-time faculty member at USF since 2007 and was promoted to dean in 2019. She has a doctoral degree in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University, a Master of Health Administration degree from USF, a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiation Sciences from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Indiana University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, has worked in medical imaging for more than 20 years and has held administrative positions in both the hospital and higher education settings. She served as the clinical coordinator for the Radiologic Technology program at USF and director of the MHA program.
