USF announces canceled or postponed events due to COVID-19 precautions

UPDATE: The Cougar Chill fundraiser, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 20 in the Cougar Den, has been canceled.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis has postponed or canceled some campus and community events as a precaution surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

These upcoming USF events have been postponed or canceled:

• The Philosophy/Theology Lecture featuring Dr. Vincent Wargo, scheduled for March 18 at Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center, has been canceled. For more information, contact Sister Jacinta Krecek at or Angie Springer at

• “While the Lights Were Out” performances, scheduled for March 19 to 22 at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, have been canceled. • USF Nursing Recruitment Fair, scheduled for March 20 on North Campus Auditorium, has been canceled. A refund will be sent to registered companies via a separate process through Eventbrite. For more information, contact Katrina Boedeker at
