Ron Turpin named Interim Vice President for Advancement and Strategic Initiatives

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Ronald (Ron) Turpin as Interim Vice President for Advancement and Strategic Initiatives.

“Ron was a member of the USF Board of Trustees for the past five years, so he is very aware and engaged in the work we have done with strategic planning and program evaluations over the past year,” said USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF.

Turpin recently retired from Gibson Insurance, where he was Principal, CFO and Market President. Prior to joining Gibson, he was VP – Head of Financial Operations at Lincoln Financial Group, where he worked for 14 years in a variety of leadership positions in the retail sales division. “I recently retired from Gibson so that I could spend more time in my passion areas of giving back to a community that has given me, and my family, so much. I can think of no better way to start this journey than with Saint Francis in this interim role. The opportunity to serve the university community in this way is one I am very excited about,” Turpin said.
