USF Names Soller Vice President for Student Affairs

May 14, 2018 FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis announced that Dan S. Soller has been named vice president for student affairs. He will begin his role on campus June 29.

“Hiring Dan as the vice president of student affairs is another step toward building on the strong foundation that was laid this year,” says USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF. “He comes to us as a highly experienced student affairs executive and we’re excited to see him grow and strengthen our student experience.”

Soller comes to USF with over 35 years of experience in higher education serving in various capacities. He served as the executive vice president and vice president for student affairs at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland; vice president for enrollment and student services at La Roche College in Pittsburgh; executive director of residence life and food service at The Catholic University of America, in Washington, DC; and director of residence life at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. Most recently he has worked as the special assistant to the president and director of athletics at Saint John’s Catholic Preparatory School in Frederick, Maryland.

“I am thrilled to be moving to Indiana and joining Sister Elise’s leadership team,” said Soller. “I’m very much looking forward to working closely with an exceptional student affairs staff as we join together in making the student affairs department at USF the best that it can be.”

Soller holds an M.S. in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University, a B.S. in Kinesiology from James Madison University and an A.A. degree in International Studies from Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary.

Founded in 1890 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, the University of Saint Francis offers more than 70 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs through the School of Health Sciences, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and School of Creative Arts. In 2016, the University of Saint Francis expanded its presence to downtown Fort Wayne.
