USF Offering Youth Summer Art Program

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts will host a Youth Summer Art Program, featuring three, one week individual sessions of art-making, taught by area art teachers and art education majors. Sessions are open to all student in grades 1-8 and will run Monday – Friday, with a choice of morning sessions 9 – 11 a.m. or afternoon sessions 1 – 3 pm.

July 9 – 13 will specialize in 3D skills, exploring sculptural mediums such as clay, plaster, wood, wire, etc. ($75.00 cost). July 16 – 20 will combine skills in 3D and 2D design, using sculpture mediums, painting, and drawing ($75.00 cost). July 23 – 27 will focus on 2D only through painting and drawing ($75.00 cost). All art materials will be provided.

The Summer Art Program will also include a special needs class, welcoming to students of all ages. This class provides an opportunity to create both 2D and 3D projects with adaptations for success. This class will take place July 9 – 13, 5 – 6 p.m. ($50.00 cost).
