USF Students and Blue Jacket to Create Pop-Up Boutique

November 14, 2017

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — On Saturday, November 25 in downtown Fort Wayne, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the USF Business Center, 826 Ewing Street, students enrolled in the freshman seminar class ICON 100, PBL in the City from the University of Saint Francis (USF) are partnering with Blue Jacket Clothing Co. to present a pop-up boutique during the Holly Trolley event. USF students and Blue Jacket employees will be teaming up to give the students experience in launching micro-enterprises with real merchandise and real transactional scenarios— and with real customers who will give back to the Fort Wayne community during the holiday season.

Shoppers can enjoy a free hot chocolate bar as well as a variety of special discounts and promotions throughout the event. Shoppers looking for a deal can take home designer men’s and women’s professional and business casual wear at a fraction of typical thrift cost, and those wanting to enhance their wardrobe with a vintage flair can find the pieces to pull off that perfect look. The Blue Jacket Clothing Co. features the highest quality name brand clothing.

All proceeds fund Blue Jacket’s clothing bank that gives free clothes to job seekers who possess any barrier to employment and attend its innovative 40-hour training called the Career Academy. Blue Jacket has been in operation since 2005 and has a mission to provide training and opportunities to any disadvantaged person striving to earn a second chance at gainful employment. Regular store hours at the Blue Jacket Clothing Co. at 2826 S. Calhoun St. are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
