USF School of Creative Arts Hosting Workshop for High School Students

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts will host two workshops for regional high school students and teachers on Thursday, November 16 from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, November 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The communication workshop on November 16 will be in the Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center at the USF main campus off Leesburg Road. This unique student-centered workshop will focus on visual storytelling and social media. Both sections of the workshop will be taught by SOCA faculty from the University of Saint Francis. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., there will be an opportunity for students to present their portfolios to faculty for talent/academic scholarships to USF.
The visual arts workshops will be held on November 17 in the Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center, and each student will participate in one of seven sessions with a full-time faculty member. The workshops include 3D Video Game, Photography is Magic, Re-created Sculptures, Drawing, Ceramics and Illustration.
Workshops for Music Technology on November 17 will take place in the Music Technology Center at 431 W Berry Street. There is a $15 registration fee per student for each workshop, which includes lunch. Workshops are followed by a portfolio review for interested individuals.
