USF Offering Saturday Morning Art Classes for Children

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Registration is open for children’s Saturday morning art classes through the School of Creative Arts at the University of Saint Francis.
The 5-week programs will provide children with an introduction to both 2-D and 3-D media. This safe, supportive environment for participants will expose them to a variety of materials and creative projects with positive role models and opportunities to interact with community arts organizations. Each session features unique and different projects.
SESSION I: 2D/3D INTRODUCTION
DATES: Sept. 16, 23, 30, Oct. 7, 14
CLASS A: Early Elementary, K-1st-2nd Grade
CLASS B: Elementary, 3rd-4th-5th Grade
SESSION II: 2D/3D INTRODUCTION
DATES: Nov. 11, 18, Dec. 2, 9, 16
CLASS C: 3rd-4th Grade
CLASS D: 5th-6th-7th-8th Grade
– No classes, Thanksgiving Weekend
– Classes have been filling to capacity. Late registrations and walk-ins will not be accepted into this program.
Classes are on Saturdays, 9-11 a.m., at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center, just off Leesburg Road on the USF campus, 2701 Spring Street.
Tuition is $50 per child/per class and includes all instruction and art supplies. Students entering grades 1-5 are eligible for Session I. Students entering grades 3-8 are eligible for Session II, and participants do not have to be experienced art students. These classes are open for any student interested in art.
